I went to school to be an attorney and moved to Chillicothe to work for legal aid. Our sole purpose at Legal Aid was making the justice system fair for everyone – when someone couldn’t afford an attorney we made sure the court system treated them fairly by representing and advocating for them, or if a senior citizen needed a will they couldn’t afford, we were there to provide those essential services. During my time there, my commitment to this community solidified, and the importance of that work has stuck with me throughout my career.
As Chillicothe Auditor I was fiscally responsible and put the city in a strong financial position.
As Mayor, I’ve listened to the community, solved problems, made the community safer and led during tough time.
As judge I would bring all of those experiences together and get back to my roots as an attorney.
I’ve practiced law in Ross County for more than 15 years, I have the experience of representing for clients in court and the experience of getting a call from the police chief in the middle of the night when there has been a tragedy. I’ve fought for my clients, and for the police department to get the tools it needs to make our community safer. Ultimately, I’m accountable to the residents for how city departments perform, including the police.
